Ozadi at SXSW
It’s that time of year again. Every March for the past 32 years, Austin has been the host of the South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival. This festival focuses on bringing together creative people in the Music, Film and Interactive communities to meet, learn and share ideas.
This year, we are proud to be representing Ozadi in multiple panels at SXSW, specifically in the Future of Work track of the Interactive segment of the festival.
The first panel Ozadi will be featured at is Bring Creativity into your Work, Company, and Life workshop that will be held twice on Friday, March 8. The first session is scheduled at 11 AM CST at the Westin Downtown, Continental 3 Ballroom. That session was favorited by almost 1400 people, and was given an encore session in the same room later that day at 3:30 PM CST. The session is focused on breaking down the obstacles that keep us from fulfilling on our natural creative passions and gives attendees the steps to increase creativity in personal work, company culture, and life. This session is definitely interactive and has attendees engaging in exercises that tap into their creative potential.
If you read our last blog on Nature and Creativity, you got a sneak peak at some of what we will be exploring in this workshop. Bart Cleveland of Job Propulsion Lab and Audrey Boring of Aces Branding will be sharing proven techniques that they use to develop creative outcomes in their respective branding, marketing, and coaching businesses. Rolando Balli will be sharing how to utilize nature as the creative environment to bring out your best work.
The other panel session that Ozadi will be directly participating is Nature at Work for Productivity, Health, and Fulfillment. Ozadi Co-Founder, Philip Vanhoutte will be moderating the panel that will explore the impact that nature has on work results and overall wellness. Our Panelists include Liz Elam, Kathy Zarsky, and Rolando Balli.
Liz Elam is a pioneer in the area of coworking in Austin and is the founder of the Global Coworking Unconference Conference (GCUC), the largest coworking conference in the world. Liz is also an Ozadi Inspirer and a strong believer in taking regular doses of Vitamin N (Nature).
Kathy Zarsky is biomimicry expert whose consulting projects include the new Austin Central Library and other large commercial and residential developments. She is the founder of HOLOS Collaborative and the non-profit, Biomimicry Texas.
Kathy is also on another session on March 9 titled Nature's Boost for Attention in the Workplace. This workshop will explore why the workplace is a new hotbed of innovation for both biomimicry and biophilia.
If you plan to be at this year’s SXSW Interactive, please join our sessions and say hi. We would love to connect and learn how nature can make a difference with your work habits and work culture.
